Subversive Symposium Episode 3: Dr Emily Ireland

To mark the publication of my book, ‘Subversive Legal History: A Manifesto for the Future of Legal Education‘ (Routledge 2021), I am having a series of conversations with legal historians about their work, the future of the discipline and whether we need to be subversive.

In the latest episode, I talk with Dr Emily Ireland, lecturer in Law at Liverpool University, about how her historical work blends perspectives from different legal areas, how legal history can ruin family days out and why the Pope was responsible for getting her interested in legal history in the first place!

The episode (and previous episodes) can now be watched on my YouTube channel.
